today i watched a film called killing us softly and it brings up a topic that we desperatley must discuss. the film delt with how women are betraied in tv, maganizine and other ads. it is out right wrong and inmoral on how ads plotray sex, rape, and violence towards woman as an acceptable norm...i'm a little overwelmed right now so i will post more later but if you have any coments please post i think this is somthing that effects all of us...here is one example of a family game called code breaker...does this suggest family?

exactly women are pried apon.

but it's not just being pried upon...we are dehumanizing women in general...try and think of a commercial that acctually portayed and foucused on a woman in whole personality and all...it's almost immpossible almost all ads show women as either a body part or other wise a "thing" a possesion or are shown in such passive positions that there made to look helpless and at the same time sexy...what message is that giving to young women...i'm not trying to blame advertising for violence i just think it should be brought to our attention...if any of you have time find and watch the movie killing us slowly and killing us softly 3 they will open your eyes

Hi see I think that woman should have the right to do or be in what ever they want to be in or to do. I think that us woman think that we do not have any power of ourselfs and that can be change if us woman just go out and be in a magazin or get on T.v. If you know what I mean. Holly
