Hardest Moments in Gaming History

This is for times when the game you are playing makes you want to rip out the controler, break the TV, and smash the game.

One for me would have to be in Final Fantasy Tactics. I'm supposed to protect Rafa while fighting 3 other units. It's a total of 6 vs 3. Sounds easy, huh? WRONG. Rafa is a idiot! He moves towards the enemies (two of them being uber assasins and one being a vampire) and doesn't do anything else. And, of course, before I can actually do anything, one of the assasins moves behind her and kills her. Six tries later, Rafa finnaly moves towards me and I can defend her. The fight itself isn't that hard, but keeping Rafa alive makes it nearly impossible.

One of my hardest gaming moments would be on Soul Calibur III......In Chronicles of the Sword at the end level. You know you have to kill Ressentiment (or something)? Well, I did all of that, and then you have to fight Strife; now that guys hard. Especially since he gains health whenever he hits you (In other words, alot.) That was difficult.
Night Terror at the end of the special path in Tales of Souls with Siegfried was hard too. Stupid ring outs.

The hardest time I ever had with a game was in Okami when I had to make a bunch of flowers bloom on this tree. I kept on trying to do that for about a hour and 45 minutes straight untill I finaly got it.
I know it doesn't seem that hard but it was. lol

i cant think of mine. i guess you could say Ruby Weapon on FF7 is the hardest thing i have come across. but i dont have access to my games so i cant say

On Breath Of Fire III near the end; You are in a dream world and you have to point Ryu (Main Character) at a statue for 20 seconds. But it doesn't give you ANY clue to do this, so i spent days running around like a headless chicken trying to figure it out. A week later, i threw the controller on the ground and walked off. When i came back i had left Ryu looking at the statue and the path ahead opened. So the only reason i got to the end of the game at 10 years old is down to dumb luck.

Loc Zsu, come to think of it, Final Fantasy VII's Ruby Weapon and Emerald Weapons were hard. Thanks for bringing that up; it took me 3 months to find out not to use Knights of the Round on Ruby, and I had to restart the game so I could get the Underwater Materia for Emerald. Then I had to get mime.......you get the idea.

yes i do. i thought of another game mind you., It was on the sega megadrive. Ecco the Dolphin. I found that game so ENFURIATING! i still havnt completed it to this day.

My neighbour had that (forgot how long ago >_<) and I can't remember it as being that frustrating. Probably because I got a bad memory, but shoot. And come to think of it, megadrive REALLY needed a save game feature. I mean on games like that bike one (memory......) where you just get to the end and theres no save games. You had to keep the megadrive running through the night, which was annoying so I couldn't get any sleep.

Actually, today I was playing DoC and while battling Weiss, ran completely out of ammo and had to battle him solely using melee attacks. It didn't work so I had to sell two of my guns and my normal barrel...

Had to fight Azul with melee only....wasted my rounds doing 10 DMG on him WITH CRITICAL HITS....

FFVII, the fight with Bizzaro Sephiroth. At first, it was pathetically easy. Then, I had to switch to my characters I never use. Make a long story short, those characters suck badly and were killed in a few seconds.

Beasty...turns into a Behometh (sp?). Weis sucked to....hate to fight Sephiroth in a shooter....or Luz....

Yeah that one thoroughly sucked. Weiss just can't stay still. I found the machine gun quite effective. It actually throws him down after a couple hits and once you learn his patterns, you can hit him when he's most vulnerable ^^ Shame the end was so easy to beat though V.V

Unlocking stuff....I shot those little thingys and nothing was unlocked...

Ah yes. Firstly, make sure you beat the game..(which I hope you did T.T) Go to the Game Start and once at the selection screen for a previously saved game, go back and go to the Extras then sift through them and you shoulde find a few things...
Complete the extra missions as well for unlockables under sound, art, etc.
I believe the targetse only get you event viewers...
PS. Extra missions are hard...I was almost at the end and died because they give you no potion or anything to heal with and only i think 780 hp

Syphenfilter...WORST PROTECT MISSION EVER!!!...I'm supposed to protect this person (haven't played in a while) as we run down this dark hallway swarming with enemies.. he does a few things to get himself killed consective times...

1) Run infront of me while I am holding a SHOTGUN
2) Run infront of me while enemies are shooting at him
3) Stand still like a moron while enemy snipers are shooting at him

Hmmm frustrating moments in games...ok, how about this one. In Legend of Dragoon for PS1, having to fight Melibu Frahama (final boss) through about 5 or six different forms!! THAT was literally a two hour long fight.

I'm stuck on the begenning of disc four, in some kind of dessert. Can't figure out where I have to go and it's getting pretty annoying..

my hardest moment only happened because my friend mike betted me 50 bucks to do it....it was in kindom hearts 2 beat the sephoroth battle with no items,no magic,lv 42, and use the kingdom key....i still beat it but it took me 6 and half hours

Did you use Trinity Limit and Beserk Charge? Only way I beat him.

nope didn't use anything special other tahn high jump, glide, and a few movement abilities plus gaurd

Devil May Cry 3 is a pretty hard game. I've died atleast once at every boss. The funny thing is, I'm not annoyed, it's just that fun lol.

Addis, I recommend that you use Miranda in the last fight. Get her up to lv. 5 dragoon. That White Dragon spell does damage and then also heals your allies, a life saver!

Lol i remembered another thing i hate doing. on Metal Gear Solid 1 the first tijme you fight Sniper Wolf. Im not a big fan of that fight.
altho coz of my disc i have discovered every possible way to defeat Cyborg Ninja when you fight him. Bloody scratched disc.

Metal gear solid...not my game. Let's just say me and stealth don't get along.

Miranda? She's the one with a bow, right? (Haven't played in a while. Been trying to beat DMC3 and unlock Virgil..then beat it again with him.)

Tenchu: Wraith of Heaven has a pretty hard co-op mission. You and a friend (me and Areon play it together) against two bosses. The bosses get harder each round. First round it's "The fat guy" (he says "Please, don't kill me!" and then throws a smoke grenade if you get close) and the guys that says "Fly Baby!". Pretty easy. Then it's the two samurai Teshu fights. We hardly get past them. Then it;s RIKIMARU and some other boss.

HOW DO YOU DO MOONSTRIKE IN LEGEND OF DRAGOON!? I mean, I've never done it. The squares are just way to fast and if I repidly press x, I do it to early. It's one of Dart's moves.

The first fight with Ganon in Ocarina of Time was hard as hell for me (I think Phantom Ganon...not sure). First time I fought him, I was out of arrows and didn't realize I needed them. After that, he just killed me a few times (cheap unblockable move....). I finnaly beat the game and that is still the hardest fight for me.

Ive been gaming since 97.

I would sooo sell a few of my 360 games to get a Super Nintendo and Super Mario Word.
That game is the best game ever.
Oh, those were good times.....

...but still... I like my "newfangled" games and all the fancy pixels.
