Final Fantasy

Hokay...
Well, I've played FF at a friends house before, and loved it.
I was considering buying FFX, but was wondering, do you need to have the others?
I mean, it would hardly matter to play it, but i'm not sure if there is a continuing story or some jazz like that...
Or it might matter to play it; Ive had some games, where you need the software from the others to play the next game (grrr....)
So if anyone knows, could they tell me?
Would be greatly appreciated :)


Oh...and ive heard that you can get it for PC...i wasn't too sure about this...is it some crazy rumour, or is there any truth in it? I always thought it was a PS2 game..

I would go with FFX. All the final fantasy games have diferent story lines (except for FFX 2, that's a sequal.)
It's a very fun and addictive game and it will keep you busy for a loooong time. (it's a long game.) And it IS only for the PS2,but FFXI is for your comp but it will consume ALL your time. FFXI is a MMORPG, (masivly multiplayer online roleplaying game) and unless you're a hardcore gamer that spends $10 a month to play FFXI (there might be a online fee to play it, not to sure about it thought.) then you might want to stick with FFX.

Honestly, not a fan of FFX. Just didn't really catch my attention. Aren is cool though.

FFVII is the best by far. FFIX and FFXII are close.

Hey Knight, I'm stuck on FFVIII. I am on the first disk still and can't get farther. It's me (Squall) and Irvine. We just climbed a few boxes and other stuff and fought those two lizard things (I think they were Basalisks). I need to climb back down but I don't know where. I tried the way I came but nothing happens when I try to climb. Am I glitched or something?

In the hall just before you enter the bit where the lizards are, in the right side on the ground is a hatch, (look for a floor tile with a handle each side) this will take you to the sniper point and onwards.

For me it was keeping Malak alive during FFTactics. Protect missions are always hard, especially with stupid friendly AI.

Probably because Sephiroth was warped by his discover in Nebelheim, when cloud kinda kill him. So he's stuck in the crater and uses his mind to travel; that's why he goes through walls.
The Safer and Bizarro Sephiroth's are probably his minds first defense and what he used to travel around in, or maybe his evolutionary stages?

Dunno, just for some reason i couldn't kill him as easy as the other two. The last was about five times as easy as Trance Kuja. Mind you, i did have lvl 29 Zidane
